Timberline District Klondike Derby Winter Campout. A super double thanks to Mr. Riley (a newbie HALO) for pulling together this event and all the adults who helped. The weather was glorious, with daytime temps in the 40’s (picture shorts with Pack boots) and nighttime temps in the teens. Although no Polar Bear Patch, we had a fantastic time on the Klondike Trail, Remote Knot Tying, hiding the scout’s gloves (oh look – gloves on the picnic table!), watching Nick dance Thriller at the Klondike campfire, telling jokes around our campfire, and thinking up nicknames, right Skid?
