Greetings Troop 737!

Tomorrow, September 10th, is our next meeting. We have a room change for this meeting: We will meet in the room below our regular meeting room to give the Civil Air Patrol our room for a special presentation. Because this room is a little tighter than our normal room, we will have our opening in outside in the grove, move inside for our slide show and then back outside for our activity and closing. Be prepared for the weather. This is also your last chance to get your rank advancement completed in time to receive your award at the Court of Honor on September 24th. If you need a Scoutmaster Conference or Board of Review, you need to schedule this as soon as you show up at the meeting, or sooner! This will also be our campout prep meeting for the Denver Area Camporee on the weekend or September 22.

Another very, very important meeting this week is our first SM & ASM & HALOs for Upcoming Events Meeting and Committee Meeting. We really need a good participation at this meeting to get the rest of the year started correctly. All parents are invited and encouraged to come and help us run the troop. If you have never been to one of these meetings, please come by and see what we do and give us your ideas! I will send out an agenda for these meetings by next weekend.

We still need HALOs for most of our activities this year. After the ASM meeting this week, where we are going to discuss HALO assignments, I may be calling some parents to ask for your help. I am the HALO for our first two campouts this year, but I can’t keep doing it all. Therefore, after the meeting, I will post the list on the web site and start asking adults to volunteer. If we don’t have HALOs for activities, I will have no choice but to cancel the event. WE really need help!!!

I thank our HALOs that have stepped up so far this year to make some of our early activities possible; Mrs. Palmer on the 14er day trip, Mr. Summar for the garage cleanup and Mrs. Kline for the upcoming Court of Honor.

Service Patrol:

The service patrol for September is the Shark Patrol!! All members of the Shark Patrol should be inside our meeting room no later than 6:15 to help set up for the meeting.
