Weekly Post, Week of March 10, 2013

Post date: Mar 9, 2013 11:32:20 PM

Greetings Troop 737! Last Monday, the new PLC met and planned the next several meetings. Details are below. We also finished our ILST training for all leadership positions and everyone should be ready for successful spring and summer leadership term.

Coming up, we have three annual traditional events; Quinzee in March, and the New Scout Campout and Scout Show in April. The Quinzee campout is next weekend, with campout prep and sign up deadline at this week’s meeting. Signup for the new scout campout is ongoing but don’t wait too long. We need to order our PIG!!! The scout show is also coming up and Mr. Johnson has 100 Scout Show tickets to hand out for scouts to sell. These cards sell for $10 each and 50% goes to your account. This is a great fundraising opportunity that you can use to help pay for your summer camp. I am sure that your parents would appreciate the help.

Finally, I have to travel for business this week and will not be in attendance for the Monday meeting, nor the Thursday ASM meeting. Mr. Catterson and other ASMs will be filling in for me, so all business will be conducted as usual.

I have posted the meeting plans and some meeting details on the calendar, under each meeting event. Anyone in the troop can click on the calendar entry and download the meeting plan form. I am thinking this would be good for the new Senior Patrol Leader to do and also good information for Mr. Caterson.

Upcoming Signup Deadlines (see below for details):

· Quinzee Campout (Winter Camp Training is Required): Deadline March 11.

Service Patrol:

The service patrol for March is the Serpents & Barracuda Patrols. All members of the Serpents & Barracuda Patrols should be inside our meeting room no later than 6:15 PM to help set up for the meeting. The Serpents will be teaching the Barracudas how to be a service patrol in the future.

Please read below for details on upcoming events, and always stay current with our Troop Calendar on the web site. This is the best way to have the most current information.
