Greetings Troop 737! Now that spring break is over, it’s time to start the close out of the year with some advancement, prep for our last two campouts, and preparation for our summer camps. We start this process with a PLC meeting and ASM meeting. We are going to need all participants possible for both the PLC and the ASM meetings this week; see below for details. . Summer camp preparation needs some real attention this week.

Please read below for details on upcoming events, and always stay current with our Troop Calendar on the web site. This is the best way to have the most current information.

Scout Show – Saturday, April 27-10:00-4:00:

· HALO: Mr. Westfall

· Also in April is the annual Scout Show

· Who knows what this year brings but last year’s outdoor cooking demonstration featuring ‘Smacos’ was a huge success!

· We will need Scout volunteers to help set up, to run the booth and then take down

· Look for the sign-up sheet with time slots that work for you.

· The Scout Show is a tremendous opportunity for the *full* family to come and have fun including participating in games, archery, cooking demonstrations (a lot of great Scout cooking!), and much more

· Bring the whole family

· Mr. Johnson has 100 Scout Show tickets to hand out for scouts to sell. These cards sell for $10 each and 50% goes to your account. This is a great fundraising opportunity that you can use to help pay for your summer camp. I am sure that your parents would appreciate the help

May Campout at Wellington Lake – Friday, April 19 – Sunday, May 17 - 19:

· HALO: Mrs. Riley

· Mrs. Riley is looking into a new venue for our May campout. Steamboat will not work because the State Park is usually still under as much as four feet of snow in mid May. Stay tuned and we will let you know where we are going shortly.
