Greetings Troop 737! It is about time to start our first meetings of 2012. We will kick off this year with a PLC tomorrow evening and the SM & ASM & HALOs for Upcoming Events Meeting and Committee Meeting on Thursday evening. All three of these very important planning meetings will help us start the year off on a high note. In the following weeks and months, we have our usual assortment of regular meetings, advancement meetings and other activities, including the bulk of our winter camping.
Please read below for details on upcoming events, and always stay current with our Troop Calendar on the web site. This is the best way to have the most current information.

Past and Current Activities:
Okpik - January 6 -8, 2012:
Mr. Trower and the crew are still in the high country so I don't yet have an update on how the Okpik went this year. It looks to me like they woke up today with beautiful weather and with a fresh blanket of snow. My only hope is that they had enough snow to build their quinzees. I will let you know how it went next week.
Cubscout Pack 50 Flag Retirement Ceremony - Yesterday, January 7th:
Wow, we had a great flag ceremony yesterday. This was the best I have ever seen and I learned a lot about the right way to retire a flag. We will take some of ours and retire them at the new scout campout. We had a fair turnout considering this was a campout weekend. In attendance were:
I want to thank each of these scouts and scouters for helping us support the community and represent our troop. In addition to retiring over 100 flags, they got to drill with the American Legion, Post 2001, and shoot their M1 Garand Riffles.
Melissa Gutierrez was able to take some photos and get the link the Pack 50 photos, please check out this really grand Evergreen event:
