Greetings

Go Arizona!!!

General

Thanks to the new scout leaders who made the effort to attend the JLT on Saturday. I have posted the updated elections list on the website. Addison is now your new Senior Patrol Leader (SPL) – please show him the courtesy and respect deserved by his rank (Eagle Scout) and position.

Spring Break Trip to Mesa Verde and Moab, Mar 26 – 31 2011 was CANCELLED. Have a great Spring Break.

Pack 400 Crossover

Calendar

March 21, 2011. 6:30 – 8:30, ELC, Troop Meeting. Advancement night. Recall that we are offering ONE merit badge this session – Pioneering. However, all new scouts and those not yet first class should work with Mr. McLean on the Trail to First class during the meeting. All older scouts NOT working on the merit badge need to assist. Bring your books. In addition:

· Uniform inspection: Surprise!!

· Physical activity - Scout in Charge - Ethan F.

o Good weather outdoor activity: Capture the Flag

o Bad weather activity (indoor): Leadership activities

· GET YOUR SCOUT SHOW CARDS TODAY!!!

· We’ll be starting a poll for bobbies for Hobby Night – coming up

In addition to the current activities for tonight’s troop meeting, we will be having a Friends of Scouting presentation and collections during the meeting. Friends of Scouting is the annual campaign where the Denver Area Council asks Scouting families, businesses and civic-minded citizens to support our mission of providing the Scouting program to tens of thousands of young people in Colorado. Friends of Scouting provides roughly one-quarter of the money needed to operate the DAC's Scouting camps, programs and facilities for a calendar year. These camping and training facilities are the "outdoor classrooms" in which Scouts have fun, learn leadership skills and develop into better young men and women. We are asking all parents to attend the first part of the meeting to hear the short FOS presentation by Mr. Gutierrez right after flags. If you cannot, please come in at the end of the meeting and speak with Mr. Gutz. Thanks for doing what you can.
