Hello Troop 737,
Thank you to all the scouts who came to the ILST (Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops) training this morning. We had a great and informative session. A special thanks to Mike O’Connor who stayed and helped.
This Monday night will be Webelos recruitment night. If you know a Webelos or are associated with a Cub Scout Pack please invite all Webelos to our meeting on Monday night. We will be doing fire starting techniques, cooking smacos and a slide show. Please bring any equipment or materials that you agreed to bring during last week’s meeting. We want this meeting to be fun and exciting for our visiting Webelos.
Change in plans: The November Fishing trip is being moved back a weekend to November 13 – 15. We will be going to Tarryall Reservoir. We hope to work on both the Fishing and Mountain Biking merit badges. Hopefully the weather will cooperate.
The main reason we moved the Fishing trip back a week was so we could fit in our Winter Camp training. This will be on Saturday November 7 from 8:30am to noon. All scout and adults who want to go on troop outings between November and March need to have Winter Camp training. This is the troop policy for years and we will not make exceptions.
I have a good friend whose business has been sending care packages to soldiers for years. This year they are really upping their game and sending out 100 Soldier boxes this year. They are looking for toiletries, paperback books, sunscreen, baseball caps or just plain cash. See the attached flyer. There will be a box at all the upcoming meetings until the November 2 PLC meeting. Let’s support our troops.
Upcoming signup deadlines
November 9 for Fishing trip Campout on November 13 - 15
Scoutmaster Minute Review
You have all heard that you should have a positive attitude. I truly believe this because what you think about most of the time is how your life will probably turn out. Be positive and you will have a positive life.
Keep your thoughts positive because your thoughts become
Keep your words positive because your words become
Keep your behavior positive because your behavior becomes
Keep your habits positive because your habits become
Keep your values positive because your values become
Be POSITVE and it will have a positive effect on every aspect of your life and maybe even your destiny.

November 7 Winter Camp Training ( 8:30am – Noon ELC Any Scouts or adults who want to go winter camping must attend this training. The leadership team has been asked numerous times to make an exception to this rule and we have turned it down every time.
