Hello Troop 737,

GO BRONCOS!!!

Thank you to all the scouts who came to the rescheduled PLC meeting. We have an exciting month of meetings including the Patrol Olympics, which will be on February 29th. This will be a great time to show your scout skills to win great awards and prizes. So make sure you come to this meeting.

Scout Sunday is tomorrow. Come be a part of the worship service at the Evergreen Lutheran which is our charter organization. Worship service is from 10:30 to 11:30. Let the members know how much we appreciate their help. You can also attend your own church and try to be a part of your service in some way.

Monday night will be our winter COH (Court of Honor). The theme will be BRONCOS WIN!! (hopefully). So bring your super bowl party leftovers. We have a fairly full agenda including Matt Kline’s Eagle COH which will be right after the regular COH.

Neil Snyder has reserved a bind to few the Cranes for our Crane viewing trip in March 11 – 13. We need to make a final payment on this right after the Court of Honor on February 8th. We did this trip 2 years ago and both scouts and adults loved it. This is a family trip and we will be staying in a hotel so bring the whole family. Put this on your calendar and stay tuned for more information.

It is time to sign up for summer camp. We will be taking the whole troop to one camp this year. July 31 to August 6 Troop 737 is going to Bartlett Scout Reservation, about 20 minutes northwest of Montpelier, ID. This camp is in the northern end of the Wasatch range, set among tall pines and quaking aspen. Bartlett offers over 50 Merit Badges, a First Year Scout program, and many free time activities. Summer camp costs $380 per Scout and $161 per Adult for camp and most Merit Badges. Some Merit Badges have pre-requisites and/or additional fees. Merit Badge sign-up will occur in April. An initial deposit of $200 per Scout and $100 per Adult is due no later than the March 28 Troop meeting. The final camp payment and any additional class fees are due by the May 16 Troop meeting. There will also be travel related expenses, TBD. The deposit can be paid at http://mountaintroop737.mytroop.us/node/1009 via PayPal or a credit card (note that online payment will also include a 2.9% PayPal fee), or at Troop meetings with a check or their scout account.
